Govt Releases Helpline Numbers For Assistance In Manipur

 Nagaland and Meghalaya have also released helpline numbers.


In an order issued on May 4 by H. Gyan Prakash, Commissioner (Home/NP) Of the Government of Manipur, the state has opened a helpline centre to provide assistance and support to persons affected by the current state of law and order in Manipur.

The state Government has requested any afflicted people requiring assistance to contact the Home Department, on the helpline and emergency numbers provided below: 9436034077-Rehanuddin Choudhury, Joint Secretary (Home) 7005257760-Peter Salam, Joint Secretary (Home) 8794475406- Dr. Th. Also in a separate tweet the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad K Sangma has issued an emergency helpline number 1800-345-3644 for distressed students from Meghalaya staying in Manipur.

"We have activated the HELPLINE 1800-345-3644 for students staying in #Manipur and for parents in case of emergencies. We are closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of our students studying in the state. @ AmitShah @ NBirenSingh," his tweet read.

Nagaland government has also set up emergency helpline numbers, keeping a close watch on the prevailing law and order situation in Manipur for the citizens requiring evacuation.

"A close watch is being maintained on the prevailing law and order situation in Manipur and the safety and security of people from Nagaland presently in Manipur and Imphal City," a Nagaland Home Department press release stated as per reports.
